In December 2023, Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh was listed on top of the list of India's top 10 youngest women entrepreneurs, released by IDFC Bank and and Hurun India.
On Friday, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a key trait required to excel, emphasising on the need to stop competing with others and instead, compete with one's own self to continuously grow as a person.
"Stop trying to compete against everyone else. The race is only with yourself. Strive to be better than you were yesterday. Outwork your own doubts and insecurities," Alagh wrote on the social media platform.

"When you're truly competing against your former self, that's when growth happens. The benchmark isn't others - it's constantly raising your own bar," she wrote.
The post saw a lot of user replies, with many agreeing with Alagh's thoughts.
"Yes it's always between one & oneself!" one user wrote.
"This is also a way to be positive & doing stress-free business," another user wrote.
Over the past several weeks, Alagh has taken to her X (formerly Twitter) handle to share a wide range of suggestions.
In April, she had offered tips on how to become a market leader and emphasised on the need to adopt "First Principals thinking approach" and had spoken about looking for evidence, considering alternate perspectives and challenging assumptions to emerge number one in their respective fields.
