Exciting news awaits fans of the beloved Pushpa franchise as Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, currently attending the Berlin International Film Festival, for the screening of Pushpa: The Rise, aka Pushpa 1, has confirmed by hinting at the possible development of a third installment in the franchise, as Pushpa 2, or Pushpa: The Rule is set to release this Independence Day, August 15.

Amid the glitz and glamour of Berlinale 2024, or the Berlin International Film Festival (February 15-25), Allu Arjun said to a publication his plans for expanding the Pushpa universe. "You can definitely expect part three, and we do want to make it a franchise. We have exciting ideas for the lineup," said the superstar, igniting anticipation among enthusiasts.

Acknowledged at the India Pavilion during the festival, Allu Arjun seized the moment to extol the richness of Indian cinema and articulate his vision of elevating it to greater heights on the global stage.

In parallel developments, the production unit has officially confirmed the worldwide release date of Pushpa 2: The Rule on August 15 this year. The first installment, Pushpa: The Rise, directed by renowned filmmaker Sukumar, achieved blockbuster status upon its release in 2021.

The narrative of Pushpa: The Rise revolves around the journey of an ordinary woodcutter, Pushpa, who ascends to prominence as the leader of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate.
