Bill Gates, Melinda are proud parents as daughter graduates from medical school. See post

Currently, Jennifer Gates is a paediatrics resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his former wife Melinda congratulated their eldest daughter Jennifer Gates on her graduation from medical school. Jennifer, 28, completed her MD MPH from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York.

To celebrate the big milestone in her life, Jennifer shared a picture of herself while wearing her graduation robe and hat. "Dr Gates, MD, MPH. Can’t believe we’ve reached this moment, a little girl’s childhood aspiration come true. It’s been a whirlwind of learning, exams, late nights, tears, discipline, and many moments of self-doubt, but the highs certainly outweighed the lows these past 5 years,” she wrote in the caption.

“I am deeply grateful for this experience and so indebted and thankful to my professors, mentors, friends, and family for their endless support along the way,” she added.

Her parents lauded her achievement in the comments section of the post and their pride was quite evident. “What you have achieved today—and every day leading up to it—is a tremendous accomplishment, @jenngatesnassar. I’m so proud of you for finishing medical school, and I can’t wait to watch you take this next step into residency. Your patients will be lucky to call you doctor,” Bill Gates wrote.

Calling it an incredible tribute to passion and intelligence, Melinda wrote, “Jenn, I am so proud of you—and you should be so proud of yourself! What an incredible tribute to your passion, intelligence, and hard work. Can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you @jenngatesnassar.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer pursued her Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and graduated in May last year. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University. Currently, she is a paediatrics resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Jennifer got married to longtime boyfriend Nayel Nassar in October 2021. The couple were blessed with a daughter in March last year and named her Leila.
