    Krutrim, the AI chatbot launched by Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, has gone viral for giving incorrect and unintentionally funny responses to users. Take a look.

    Krutrim, the AI chatbot launched by Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, has been giving incorrect responses to users’ queries. Screenshots shared on social media show the chatbot informing users that the 1983 Cricket World Cup was won by the West Indies, that the date today is October 15, 2021 and that Hillary Clinton won the 2014 US Presidential Elections, among other things.

    The series of gaffes by Krutrim AI have sparked much amusement on the social media platform X, where screenshots of the chatbot’s responses have been going viral.

    When one person asked the chatbot as to who won the Cricket World Cup in 1983, it replied confidently: “The West Indies team won the Cricket World Cup in 1983.” The World Cup was famously won by Kapil Dev-led Team India that year.



    When another user asked the chatbot a leading question on China winning the World Cup, it replied saying “China won the 1983 Cricket World Cup by defeating Australia.”


    Cricket was not the only topic where Krutrim floundered. It informed one user that Hillary Clinton became the US president by defeating Donald Trump in 2014



    It also struggled to answer basic questions like today’s date.


    And for an AI chatbot launched by the CEO of Ola, it had several unintentionally funny replies. For example, it informed one user that Ola Electric’s direct rival Ather manufactures the best electric scooters in India.



    To another user, it gave a long list of Ola’s drawbacks as compared to Uber


    It has been two days since Krutrim was launched to the public. It currently answers questions in only English and Hindi.
