Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited school students for a rare tour of his residence on the occasion of Christmas. Students got the unique opportunity to interact with the prime minister and received a guided tour of his residence - 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
A video shared by the Prime Minister’s Office shows girl students interacting with Modi and visiting various parts of his official residence. The video showed students being taken through the prime minister's office and the conference room which hosts Union Cabinet meetings.
In one part of the clip, students walked through corridors filled with artwork, figurines and statues to enter a large conference room, where a map of the world filled the ceiling. They were seen asking questions and interacting with their tour guide. They were also seen examining the various items and devices kept in the room – like a pencil stamped with the words “Prime Minister’s Office – New Delhi.”
"It was a great great opportunity. I hope there are many opportunities ahead like this," said one of the young visitors.
The group of students was also heard singing Christmas and New Year wishes during the interaction the prime minister had with the members of Christian community.
The PM said it seems his office passed the ultimate test as the children gave it a thumbs-up.
