Sony PS5 comes with many exclusive titles such as God of War from Santa Monica Studios, Gran Turismo 7 from Polyphony Digital, and Horizon Forbidden West from Guerrilla Games.

Sony has announced that it has sold over 10 million units of the PlayStation 5 worldwide. The gaming console was launched as a successor to the PS4 in 2020. Sony, much like Microsoft, has found it tough to keep up with the demand due to the ongoing chip shortage.

Sony announced that the PS5 is its fastest-selling console. “Pushing through supply challenges and a global pandemic, we’re proud to have delivered a transformational gaming experience that is captivating players around the world. Everyone at SIE put their all into making the PlayStation experience better than ever. I’d like to call out a couple of teams who made especially important contributions,” Sony said.

The gaming console comes with many exclusive titles such as God of War from Santa Monica Studios, Gran Turismo 7 from Polyphony Digital, and Horizon Forbidden West from Guerrilla Games. More games are expected to release in the coming months. These include the much-anticipated Battlefield 2042 from Electronic Arts, DEATHLOOP from Bethesda, Far Cry®6 From Ubisoft, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits from Ember Lab.

While the company has ensured that players have enough titles to play, it has struggled to supply enough units, especially in India. The PS5 has been going out of stock within minutes, if not seconds, during its pre-order sales in India. Moreover, the Sony PS5 pre-order goes live once a month on average. The PlayStation 5 (Review) costs Rs 49,990, while the PS5 Digital Edition will set you back Rs 39,990.

Sony said it is making steady progress with available global supply. With that hope, we can expect more units on sale for the next Sony PS5 India restock.
