Karnataka Polls 2018: Subramanian Swamy laughs off Congress' questions on EVM functioning

Earlier trends showed BJP taking the lead but with JD(S) joining hands with Congress, the saffron party won't be romping home.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy coudn't suppress his laughter when asked about the Congress' questions on electoral voting machines (EVMs).

The photos of Swamy's reaction were tweeted by news agency ANI.


Counting has begun in the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018. Earlier trends showed BJP taking the lead but with JD(S) joining hands with Congress, the saffron party won't be romping home.

Congress spokesperson Mohan Prakash questioned the BJP's issues with  with the old-fashioned ballot system.

"I am saying it from day 1, there is no political party in India which has not raised questions on EVMs, even BJP has done it in the past. Now when all parties are doubting EVMs then what problem does BJP have in conducting polls through ballot?" Prakash told ANI.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray too challenged the BJP to go into an election with the ballot system.
