"Sidharth," unveiled on August 25 through Def Jam Recordings, emerges as a genre-blending masterpiece. Featuring 13 soul-stirring tracks, the album effortlessly weaves together R&B, jazz, indie rock, Carnatic, and American pop, mirroring Sid Sriram's diverse upbringing in Chennai and '90s California.

During the summer of 2021, Sid Sriram joined forces with producer Ryan Olson in Minneapolis, opting to record the majority of the tracks live. Olson's team, which included the talents of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, played a pivotal role in contributing to the 'Sidharth' project.

Sid Sriram's live studio collaboration sets the stage

His noteworthy acclaim heightened following a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR in May, where he showcased his musical prowess backed by an 8-piece band, providing a tantalizing preview of his album. Following his headline performance at the Roxy on July 26, Sriram had the privilege of opening for his longtime inspiration, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, in August.
