With the BJP appearing to be heading towards a majority in the counting for the Delhi Assembly elections is underway, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has taken a veiled swipe at her own party through a social media post.

Maliwal, who has been vocal about issues in Delhi throughout the election season, posted an image of Draupadi’s disrobing from the Mahabharata in a post on X. "Even Raavan's ego was not spared," she said.

"When a person becomes so cruel that he gets a woman beaten up in his own house and then uses the entire machinery to defame her character, then this happens," Kejriwal told Times Now while the  AAP trailed in election results.

The rift between Maliwal and AAP leadership deepened after the attack on Kejriwal’s residence in May.  Maliwal accused Kejriwal’s aide, Bibhav Kumar, of misbehaving with her, leading to a police complaint and Kumar’s subsequent arrest. "The attack on me was pre-planned, and the party leadership failed to stand by me," Maliwal alleged.
