Amid the espionage charges against YouTube star vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, focus has now shifted to individuals allegedly working for Pakistan and supplying sensitive information. Sources say that shortly after Operation Sindoor strikes targeted terror infra in Pakistan, India’s top intelligence agencies launched massive crackdown against alleged spies in the country.

Sources say that the mission was named Mir Jafar. First, the officials collected information on individuals who had established contacts and were regularly in touch with people across the border. Once credible intel was sourced, agencies began nationwide crackdown. This led to arrest of many individuals across Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Sources say that after the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack that saw brutal killings of 26 tourists in Baisaran Valley, individuals providing information to their alleged handlers were put under surveillance. Sources say that from photos to other crucial information, these individuals were found of supplying critical details to Pakistani agencies.

In fact, the sources say that the Pakistan High Commission located in Delhi played a key role. Sources added that the many individuals held during the crackdown were found to be in regular contact with the High Commission officials.

Initial investigation revealed that Pakistan has been luring individuals to pass on sensitive information by giving them all expenses paid trip to foreign locations, handing out cash and other inducements. Sources say that Operation Mir Jafar is still on and many more arrests are likely to be made based on incriminating evidence.
