Shivji also says be fearless, shows abhay mudra, propagates non- violence, the Rae Bareli MP had said.

In a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Rajasthan BJP chief CP Joshi has called out individuals who "consume beef" for displaying images of Lord Shiva in Parliament. Joshi made these remarks during a party meeting in Dausa, as seen in a video circulating on social media.

"In the midst of tensions on the India-China border, Rahul Gandhi meets with the Chinese ambassador... Those who consume beef and bring pictures of Mahadev to Parliament, this cannot be tolerated," Joshi stated, refraining from mentioning any names.

He further questioned, "If someone brands Hindus as terrorists, accuses them of violence, and opposes the construction of the Ram Mandir, will we stay silent? Those who mock President Droupadi Murmu for her skin color will continue to prosper if we remain passive spectators".

During the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address on July 1, Gandhi sparked controversy by displaying posters featuring religious figures, including Lord Shiva, despite objections from Speaker Om Birla.

The Rae Bareli MP had said, "All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear. Shivji also says be fearless, shows abhay mudra, propagates non- violence".

Gandhi went on to provoke debate by alleging that individuals who identify as Hindus are involved in "violence and hate."

"Abhayamudra is the symbol of Congress. The Abhayamudra is the gesture of fearlessness, is the gesture of reassurance and safety, which dispels fear and accords divine protection and bliss in Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism and other Indian religions. All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear. But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth…Aap Hindu ho hi nahi…", the LoP had said.

He quoted the teachings of Lord Shiva, advocating for fearlessness and non-violence, contrasting them with what he alleged as continuous propagation of hatred, violence, and falsehoods by those claiming to be Hindus within the BJP ranks.

Gandhi's remarks sparked an uproar in the Lok Sabha, prompting top BJP leaders, including PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, to intervene. They slammed the Congress MP for making serious allegations and demanded his apology.
