Nepali influencer Bibek Pangeni dies at 32 after battling brain cancer

Bibek Pangeni was diagnosed with third-stage glioma in 2022.

Nepali social media influencer Bibek passes at the age of 32 after a prolonged fight with stage 3 brain cancer. Pangeni, who was loved by millions and captivated hearts with his courage and positivity, passed away on December 19, 2024.

Pangeni is also a PhD student in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Georgia. He was diagnosed with third-stage glioma in 2022. Soon, the news of his demise spread across social media platforms, and an outpouring of grief and disbelief followed.

Throughout his journey in battling the malignant tumour, Pangeni's wife, Srijana Subedi, remained his unwavering support. She devoted herself entirely to his care, overseeing his treatment.

He married his long-time girlfriend, Srijana Subedi and the couple frequently shared videos on TikTok and Instagram reels, giving a glimpse of their life and his treatment.

Pangeni's videos became an inspiration for many of his followers and people online, acting as a beacon of hope and positivity. His content showcased the reality of living with cancer while maintaining a positive outlook, inspiring countless people to face their difficulties with strength and determination. Several social media followers joined them on this journey, and it soon became a collective goal to pray for Bibek’s recovery. A GoFundMe page was also made for him.

In 2022, when Pangeni was diagnosed with cancer, he was immediately admitted to the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove 50% of the tumour, and it was sent for further testing, News9live reports.
