Reliance Industries chaiman Mukesh Ambani on July 4 met former Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence.

The industrialist presented Sonia Gandhi an invitation card of his son Anant Ambani's wedding to Radhika Merchant, daughter of businessman Viren Merchant. The wedding will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 12.

The three-day celebration will feature several rituals and celebrations including 'Shubh Vivaah' on July 12, followed by 'Shubh Aashirwad' on July 13 and concluding with 'Mangal Utsav,' (wedding reception) on July 14.

The Ambanis organised a mass wedding of over 50 underprivileged couples on July 2, marking the beginning of the wedding celebrations of Anant-Radhika. As a gesture of goodwill, each couple was presented with gold as well as silver jewellery. In addition, each bride was presented a cheque of Rs. 1.01 lakh as 'streedhan'.

International pop sensation Justin Bieber is set to perform at Anant-Radhika's wedding. Celebrities including Katy Perry, Diljit Dosanjh, Rihanna have performed for the pre-wedding functions held earlier this year.

While Anant-Radhika's first pre-wedding celebration was held in Gujarat's Jamnagar,  the second took place on a cruise in Europe in June.
