CISF has suspended the woman constable and given a complaint against her at the local police station for FIR, in connection with slapping BJP leader and actor Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport, says a senior CISF officer.

According to reports, Kangana was on her way to Delhi and was waiting at the airport lounge for her flight. She then walked towards the entry gate for boarding the flight to Delhi when she was slapped by CISF constable.

The European Central Bank has decided to cut euro zone rates by 25 bps to 3.75 percent from record 4 percent for first time since 2019.

Inflation in the 20 countries that share the euro has fallen from more than 10% in late 2022 to just above the ECB's 2% target in recent months, largely thanks to lower fuel costs and a normalisation in supply after some post-pandemic snags.

But that progress has stalled recently and what had looked like the start of a major ECB easing cycle only a few weeks ago now appears more uncertain due to signs that euro zone inflation may prove sticky, as has been the case in the United States.

The ECB welcomed the fall in price growth as it trimmed its deposit rate to 3.75% from a record 4.0%, its first cut since 2019.

On Thursday morning, an LPG cylinder exploded in a one-story house on C G Gidwani Marg in Mumbai's Chembur area, injuring at least nine people, including two minors.
