The arrest of the Hindu monk in Bangladesh has ignited widespread unrest

Jansatta Dal chief and Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya has sharply reacted to the ongoing developments in Bangladesh, including the arrest and denial of bail to Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das there.

In a post on X, he said, “The fundamentalist dictatorial government of Bangladesh has taken the atrocities on Hindus there to the peak, Hindus are being killed selectively, their houses and shops are being targeted.”

The Kunda MLA also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to take congisance of the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.

Reacting to the arrest of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, he wrote, “Swami Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu, the voice of Hindus, has been arrested there, yet the global powers are silent because atrocities are being committed against Hindus.”

He urged Hindus all over the world to unite and stand up to protect Hindus suffering in Bangladesh.

The arrest of the Hindu monk in Bangladesh has ignited widespread unrest, sparking violent protests that quickly escalated into a confrontation between the religious leader's supporters and security forces.

The incident resulted in at least one fatality and has rapidly developed into a diplomatic crisis.
Police in Bangladesh arrested Das, the leader of the Hindu group Sammilita Sanatani Jote, from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area in Dhaka on Monday. A Bangladeshi court on Tuesday denied bail to Das, arrested on sedition charges, and sent him to prison.

India on Tuesday noted with "deep concern" the arrest and denial of bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das, and urged authorities in the neighbouring country to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and all other minority groups.
