Cupid promoter Aditya Kumar Halwasiya bought 13 percent stake in Tourism Finance Corporation as promoters in the company offloaded some stake.
Aditya Kumar Halwasiya acquired 1,18,02,094 shares or 13.05 percent stake in the company for Rs 209.75. Halwasiya bought Rs 247.54 crore worth of shares.
Promoters Koppara Sajeeve Thomas sold 34,44,133 shares or a 3.81 percent stake at an average price of Rs 209.75, valuing the deal at Rs 72.24 crore. Another promoter entity, Pranastree Holdings also offloaded 42,56,100 shares (4.7 percent stake) at the same price.
Foreign Portfolio investor Varanium India Opportunity sold 30,97,461 shares at the same price in Toursim Finance Corporation.
Shares of Tourism Finance Corporation surged 5 percent and hit upper circuit at Rs 220.2.
Shares of Cupid also closed 5 percent higher than previous close at Rs 2,298.6.
In SMIFS Capital Markets, 2,70,000 shares exchanged hands at an average price of Rs 71. Inter Connected Enterprises was the buyer while foreign investor Indiaman Fund (Mauritius) was the seller. The transaction was valued at Rs 1.91 crore. Indiaman Fund sold a 4.84 percent stake of the 9.85 percent stake it held in the company as of December 2023.
In Jindal Saw, Mauritius-based FII, Eriska Investment Fund sold 23,50,000 shares at an average price of Rs 521 amounting to Rs 122.43 crore.
In Whirpool of India, promoter Whirlpool Mauritius sold 3,03,89,239 shares or 24 percent stake at an average price of Rs 1277.02, selling Rs 3,880.76 crore worth of shares. Societe Generale ODI, SBI Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, DSP Mutual Fund and Aditya Birla Sunlife Mutual Fund were the buyers in the stock.
