Tata Comm ties up with Singapore Airlines to boost employee productivity, user experience

The latest initiative, delivered on Tata Communications GlobalRapide platform, will enable SIA users to remain connected globally, it has been learnt from the statement.

Tata Communications is working with SIA for the past five years and in addition to the above solutions, Tata Communications IZOTM SDWAN also enables SIA with customer call routing to their customer service centres globally.

Tata Communications and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) entered into a multi-year agreement on November 7, aimed at transforming airline communications and collaboration tools to enhance employee productivity and user experience, according to an exchange filing.

The latest initiative, delivered on Tata Communications GlobalRapide platform, will enable SIA users to remain connected globally, it has been learnt from the statement.

Speaking on the occasion, Amitabh Sarkar, Vice President & Head of Asia Pacific and Japan – Enterprise expressed the company's "pride" in its long-standing relationship with Singapore Airlines. "As a global CommTech player, we are privileged to be chosen as their partner in progress as they emerge stronger than ever and strive to create new benchmarks in customer experiences," he further noted.

Notably, Tata Communications has been working jointly with SIA for the past five years. Besides, Tata Communications IZOTM SDWAN also enables SIA with customer call routing to their customer service centres globally.

Moreover, SIA's pilot and cabin crew collaboration platforms are powered by Tata Communications 'MOVE'.

MOVE provides the fast and secure exchange of critical flight and passenger data on pilots and crew tablets, which enhances on-time performance, as well as helps contain costs compared to traditional data roaming solutions.

For the September quarter, Tata Communications' net profit fell by 58 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 221.3 crore. Overall, income from operations grew by 10 percent to Rs 4,873 crore.
