The November 2023 restructuring of the MSCI Standard Index is likely to see that Polycab India, One97 Communications, Macrotech Developers, Tata Communications and Tata Motors DVR are making a fresh entry.

According to Nuvama Institutional Equities, Polycab's entry will bring inflows worth $194 million into the stock. Paytm's parent One97 Communications could see $167 million of funds flow, while it may be $170 million for Macrotech Developers , $172 million for Tata Communications and $174 million for Tata Motors DVR.

While Nuvama has high conviction on the first four names, it said that Tata Motors DVR is a 'close contender' at the moment. They do not expect any exclusions from MSCI Standard Index yet.

If Tata Motors DVR makes it, it is likely to be a short-lived stint on the index. Earlier this year, the company had announced that it will extinguish the DVR shares. For every 10 DVR shares, an investor will get seven ordinary shares.

In the MSCI Smallcap index, Redtape, AGI Greenpac, Man Infra, Electronics Mart, Surya Roshni, Force Motors, Gabriel India, Gokaldas Exports, Arvind, Llyods Engineer, Gateway Distriparks, Electrosteel, Hindustan Construction, Astra Microwave and Jain Irrigation are the probable fresh entrants. As a result of their inclusion, each of these stocks could see $2-5 million of passive funds flow.

Oberoi Realty, Solar Industries, BHEL, Linde India, Vodafone Idea, Indian Bank and Delta Corp will likely exit MSCI Smallcap index completely. Delta Corp's exclusion may translate into an outflow of $1 million, while the rest could drain $15-20 million.

Persistent Systems, APL Apollo Tubes, Suzlon Energy and Jindal Stainless are likely to migrate from MSCI Smallcap to MSCI Standard, Nuvama added.
