Yamuna Expressway Authority holds draw for 1,184 residential plots, targets revenue of Rs 698 cr

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), on October 18, held a draw for 1,184 residential plots across three different sectors, a move that is expected to fetch the Authority revenues of approximately Rs 698 crore.

According to Authority officials, as many as 1.4 lakh applicants had applied against 1,184 residential plots located in YEIDA sectors 16, 17 and 20 along the Yamuna Expressway. The scheme was launched on August 8 and was closed on September 4, 2023.

YEIDA is the nodal agency responsible for implementing the Yamuna Expressway Project and allied development in the region. It is responsible for residential, commercial, and industrial development along the 165-km-long Yamuna Expressway that connects Greater Noida with Agra.

Officials said the draw was conducted for seven different categories of plot sizes, which included plots of 120, 162, 200, 300, 500, 1,000, and 2,000 sq m. YEIDA offered these residential plots at Rs 24,600 per square metre (sq m) under the scheme. The price range of plots was Rs 29.5 lakh to Rs 4.92 crore.

The Authority aims to get a revenue of around Rs 698.52 crore from the allotment of all these 1,184 plots, the official said.

A YEIDA official said that the maximum number of applications — 55,647— were received for 466 plots of 200 sqm, followed by 31,130 applications for 194 land parcels of 120 sqm. As many as 20,574 applications were received against 260 residential plots having an area of 162 sqm.

Officials said the list of successful allottees will be uploaded on the Authority’s website www.yamunaexpresswayauthority.com soon.
