Ola S1 Air purchase window opens on July 28 at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,999

Ola Electric Mobility, the two-wheeler manufacturer linked to cab aggregator Ola, announced on July 21 the purchase window for its S1 Air electric scooters from July 28.

Ola community and reserves who book the S1 Air before July 28 will have the opportunity to purchase it at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,999. The limited-period purchase window will remain open between July 28 and July 30. For all other customers, the purchase window will commence on July 31 at a revised price of Rs 1,19,999 and deliveries to begin in early August.

S1 Air has a battery capacity of 3 Kilowatts per hour (Kwh) with a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour (Kmph), the electric mobility company said.

Commenting on the announcement, Ola quoting a spokesperson in its statement said S1 Air was developed with the sole goal of easily available of electric vehicles to everyone. The S1 and S1 Pro's high acceptance and popularity have been major factors in the move towards the widespread use of electric vehicles in the country.

“Our goal with the S1 Air has always been to make India's electric vehicle revolution accessible to all. The success of the S1 and S1 Pro has made electric vehicles mainstream in the country. We are confident that the arrival of the S1 Air will soon mark the end of the ICE Age in India’s scooter industry,” the spokesperson's statement read.

S1 Air is Ola's third offer in the electric two-wheeler category. The company has launched Ola S1, which is priced at Rs 99,000, and the S1 Pro, which costs Rs 129,000.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker announced the launch of S1 Air e-scooters, on February 9 this year.
