Vedanta shares gain ahead of board meeting to consider 4th interim dividend for FY25

    Vedanta share price gained in December 12 trade ahead of the company's board meeting scheduled next week to consider the fourth interim dividend for the Financial Year 2024-25.

    Anil Agarwal-owned Vedanta Ltd. stock was up 0.65 percent in the morning trade on Thursday to quote at Rs 517.70 per share on the NSE.

    A meeting of the board of the board of directors of the company is scheduled to take place on December 16 (Monday) to consider and approve the fourth interim dividend on equity shares for the financial year 2024-25, the company said in an exchange filing.

    "The record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Tuesday, December 24, 2024," it added.

    According to the data sourced from BSE, Vedanta has distributed dividend of a total Rs 35 in the current year so far.

    The company reported net profit (attributable to owners) of Rs 4,352 crore in the September quarter against a loss of Rs 1,783 crore in the year-ago period, helped by lower taxes.

    The mining major's revenue from operations declined 3.6 percent to Rs 37,171 crore, the company said in an exchange filing. Quarterly EBITDA grew 44 percent to Rs 10,364 crore due to favourable commodity prices, structural cost-saving initiatives and increased premia across businesses, the company said.
