Ashish Kacholia trims holding in seven stocks, likely exited six companies in Q1

Ace investor Ashish Kacholia, whose disclosed portfolio is worth over Rs 2400 crore, has trimmed his stake in seven stocks and likely exited six companies, according to the latest shareholding pattern for the June quarter.

The firms where Kacholia trimmed his stake include PCBL Ltd, Walchandnagar Industries, Repro India, Sastasundar Ventures, Shaily Engineering Plastics, NIIT Learning Systems, and Aditya Vision Ltd.

In the last one year, both Walchandnagar Industries and Shaily Engineering Plastics have doubled in value, while PCBL Ltd has surged by 88 percent. On the other hand, Repro India has declined by nearly 20 percent.

Further, he reduced his holding in PCBL by 1.23 lakh shares, bringing his stake to 2.89 percent from 3.42 percent. In Walchandnagar Industries, he sold about 30.26 lakh shares, lowering his stake to 1.03 percent from 3.17 percent. In Repro India, he offloaded 55,668 shares, reducing his holding to 2.41 percent from 2.8 percent.

In Sastasundar Ventures, he sold around 2.47 lakh shares, decreasing his stake to 1.11 percent from 1.88 percent. In Shaily Engineering Plastics, he sold 3 lakh shares, bringing his holding down to 4.89 percent from 5.55 percent.

In NIIT Learning Systems, he sold 1 lakh shares, reducing his stake to 2.03 percent from 2.11 percent. In Aditya Vision, he sold 35,495 shares, lowering his holding to 1.59 percent from 1.87 percent.

Meanwhile, HLE Glascoat Ltd, Ador Welding Ltd, Vaibhav Global Ltd, Xpro India Ltd, Gravita India, and Barbeque-Nation Hospitality no longer show Kacholia's name in the June quarter shareholding pattern. It is unclear whether he sold his entire stake in these companies or if his holdings have fallen below 1 percent as names of such shareholders are not disclosed.

Additionally, Kacholia has added Advait Infratech to his portfolio, acquiring 2.88 lakh shares, or a 2.67 percent stake. He also increased his holdings marginally in three stocks: Dhabriya Polywood, Aditya Vision, and Saakshi Medtech & Panels.

As of the June 2024 quarter, Kacholia holds stakes in 35 stocks, valued at Rs 2,400 crore based on the average price for the quarter, compared to 48 stocks in the March 2024 quarter. Seven stocks have yet to report their June quarter shareholding pattern data.
