Paramount, Bharat Forge, and Kalyani collaborate for armoured vehicle manufacturing in India

This collaboration is aimed to align with its ongoing global expansion and production strategy, it said.

Paramount, a global aerospace and technology firm, announced on September 14 through its press release development and manufacturing collaboration with Indian Defence firm Bharat Forge Ltd and its subsidiary Kalyani Strategic Systems to produce a wider range of armoured vehicles in India for its global customers.

The global aerospace and technology company, based in the UAE, also expressed its intention to utilize the robust industrial capabilities and engineering expertise of Kalyani Strategic Systems.

This collaboration is aimed to align with its ongoing global expansion and production strategy, it said.

The existing industrial collaboration between Paramount and the Indian conglomerate has already yielded significant success in the development and production of a substantial quantity of domestically manufactured Kalyani M4 armoured vehicles for the Indian Army, it noted.

Kalyani M4 is tailored to address the unique needs of armed forces, prioritizing rapid mobility in challenging terrains, particularly those susceptible to mines and IED threats.

Its design incorporates exceptional levels of ballistic and blast protection, capable of withstanding up to 50kg TNT side blasts or IED/roadside bombs. Kalyani M4 is based on one of Paramount Group’s flagship armoured vehicles, Mbombe 4, designed specifically for in-country production in India.

Paramount Global CEO Steve Griessel expressed enthusiasm about expanding their partnership to develop and manufacture 4x4 and 6x6 Infantry Combat Vehicles for a worldwide customer base.
