Freecharge partners with ICICI merchants in 700 cities

Mobile wallet FreeCharge announced its partnership with ICICI Merchant Services that enable will enable its users to pay from their FreeCharge wallet account at over 1 lakh ICICI Merchant Services merchants across 700 cities and towns in India.

"The partnership will help us expand our footprint and enable merchants and consumers from Tier I & II cities to be part of the digital payments ecosystems," Govind Rajan, Chief Executive Officer, FreeCharge said in a statement.

Customers can use their mobile phones to make payments and complete the transaction with a secure On-The-Go-Pin in less than 10 seconds, the statement said.

Accenture employees in more than 200 cities across 55 countries have pledged to complete more than 10,000 hours of Code during Computer Science Education Week December 5-11. *** Jugnoo launches UPI based 'Jugnoo Pay' Auto-rickshaw hailing mobile app Jugnoo today launched its UPI enabled payment solution, 'Jugnoo Pay' in collaboration with Yes Bank.

"Factoring in the array of drawbacks in e-wallets, UPI is the next big thing and digital wallets will eventually become obsolete. So, we have enabled customers with a new and more hassle free payment option," Ronak Goyal, VP Engineering, Jugnoo said in a statement.

'Jugnoo Pay' can be used by merchants to request and consumers to approve payments directly using their respective bank accounts with their mobile number as an identifier, the company said in a statement.
