Sonam Kapoor’s love for all things fashion and film is not hidden from the world, but what’s lesser known is her love for hosting people and making them feel at home. She recently hosted a special evening for the top leadership of Architectural Digest, giving a peek into how she likes to spruce up her living room on special occasions.
Sonam’s maximal-style Mumbai home
Her Mumbai home is every bit maximal, and while most such homes are associated with putting scattered pieces together, hers is a well-curated, luxurious haven. What catches attention the most is the gallery-like display of artworks that carry a vintage charm. The painted walls add another dimension, and along with the paintings, the bespoke sofa, Mughal zardozi cushions, centre tables, and a traditional wool rug add to the “more is more” style.
Stunning table décor for the dinner
However, what truly stood out about the evening, besides the stunning interiors, was the detailed tablescape and floral décor. It was every bit opulent and elegant, blending both traditional and contemporary design sensibilities. The dining table featured fresh red and pink flowers layered with strings of white buds, which looked straight out of Pinterest.

Take a look at the post:
While the wooden furniture boasted craftsmanship with its intricate carvings, the table setting added a warm touch with its overflowing centrepiece. It was hard to miss the jute placemats, terracotta matkas, crystal glassware, and red-and-gold table linens, all contributing to the overall rich aesthetic. Even the vintage chandelier enhanced the beauty of the space with its soft, golden lighting.
Additionally, Sonam shared pictures of sculpted bulls decorated with fresh flower petals. A small table with a floral arrangement behind the bulls also caught the eye, adding more grandeur to her living space. As they say, little details matter, and they certainly are attention-grabbing.

What Sonam wore for the special evening
Sonam slipped into an elegant number from EAST by Easternlight Zimik, a label born in Manipur’s Ukhrul district. The ĀKHA set from the Patron Collection looked stunning on her, with its wrap-style outer layer worn over a black collared shirt and paired with a matching skirt or kashan.
