Saudi Arabia, a country that is often associated with extravagance and decadence, recently launched a dress that has earned the title of world's heaviest gold dress in the world. Well, can you guess its price? It's a whopping Rs 9.65 crore. After all, it is made from 24-carat gold.

The dress is called the "Dubai dress" and it weighs over 10 kgs. One look at the dress and one can see a great example of stunning craftsmanship. The dress is embellished with precious stones and it also comes with accessories like a crown, a pair of earrings, a necklace and Hiyar (an ornament worn on waist). The patterns are quite intricate and the overall look of the dress and accessories reminds one of the traditional Emirati culture and rich heritage of the country.

Wondering who created this amazing dress? Well, it's the creation of Al Romaizan, a premier Saudi gold and jewellery brand. The idea behind creating this dress was to blend in fine jewellery with haute coutoure; to set an example of how fashion can be a form of wearable art.

According to Al Romaizan Gold, the Dubai Dress consists of four key components: a gold tiara weighing 398 grams, a statement necklace that weighs 8,810.60 grams, earrings with a weight of 134.1 grams, and a waist ornament called Hiyar, weighing 738.5 grams.

Take a look at the post:

“This masterpiece represents the UAE’s vision to lead globally and showcases Dubai as a premier destination for gold and jewellery enthusiasts, while celebrating the distinctive creativity of Emirati artisans,” said Mohsen Al Dhaibani, Deputy Manager at Al Romaizan Gold, during the exhibition at Expo Sharjah. He also added that, “By setting this record, we are sending a message to the world: the UAE can seamlessly blend tradition with innovation, securing its place at the forefront of the global gold and jewellery industry.”

This dress is not for commercial sale. It will only be displayed at exhibitions and luxury showcases. The dress made its stellar debut at the 56th Middle East Watch and Jewellery show in Sharjah and it also made its entry into the Guinness World Book.
