Even if you have never bought a safety pin and you had to tell how much would it cost, you would be able to answer correctly. Available at a nominal cost of Rs 10 or 20, what took netizens by surprise was when Prada priced its safety pin for a whopping Rs 69,000.

We mean we get it its from Prada, the coveted luxury fashion brand, but Rs 69,0000 for a safety pin? What was the brand really thinking? The safety pin actually looks cute, thanks to the knitted-thread detailing on one of its sides. We would have cut the brand some slack for its pricing had the brooch of the safety pin was studded with some rare gem. However, this amount for a simple metal safety pin seems simply unwarranted.

Guess what? The safety pin with a modest brooch is available in three colours - pink, light blue and orange. The pin is made from brass. What's more is that it comes with signature logo, that is, the triangle charm.

One of the fashion influencers made a video wherein she mentioned about Prada's safety pin and got netizens talking about it. She asked rich people what they were doing with their money. The cation she wrote alongside read, "Stop doing money wrong."
