But for those who want to keep it healthy and still have their sweet fix, French biochemist Jessie Inchauspé, popularly known as the Glucose Goddess on Instagram and YouTube, shared a lip-smacking and nutritious tahini chocolate balls recipe.
While it may sound like a sweet treat, it is high in protein, giving you 4 gm of protein per bite. The protein comes from ingredients like tahini, cashew nuts, and sesame seeds used in the recipe. It is also very low in sugar, which means it helps keep your blood sugar steady. And for chocolate lovers, it is the most perfect treat.

Cashew nuts, 185g (1 ½ cups)
Tahini, 3 tablespoons
Vanilla extract, 1 ½ teaspoons
Lemon zest, ½
Sesame seeds, 30 gm (3 heaped tablespoons)
Unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons
A pinch of salt
Place the cashew nuts, tahini, vanilla extract, lemon zest and a pinch of salt in a food processor and blitz until the mixture stars to clump together - around 3-4 minutes.
Use a tablespoon measure to scoop litle balls of the mixture together and form into tight balls.
Put the sesame seeds on a plate and the cocoa powder on another plate. Roll 6 of the balls in the sesame seeds, and the other 6 in the cocoa powder. You could also do cocoa powder and sesame seeds together if you wish. Mini cupcake cases are a useful way to store them. They will keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
