A group of foreign tourists in Rajasthan drew significant attention online after a video captured them dancing to the Bollywood track "Chunari Chunari" at a petrol station during a road trip. The song, originally featured in the 1999 film "Biwi No. 1" and filmed on Sushmita Sen and Salman Khan, played in the background as the travellers paused at the fuel stop.
The clip was posted on Instagram and went viral in a short span of time. The footage showed the group taking a break at the pump when the driver of a tractor parked nearby increased the volume of "Chunari Chunari". The upbeat rhythm appeared to amuse the tourists, who soon began dancing in the forecourt area.
As the song continued, the visitors synchronised their movements while people present at the station recorded the moment on their phones. Several bystanders were seen watching the performance, smiling, encouraging the group, and even singing along.
The video quickly spread across social media, where users reacted enthusiastically and remarked on the tourists’ enjoyment of Bollywood music.
"Chunnari chunnari is a vibe you can't deny," a user wrote. Another user commented, "After long time. Beautiful view in India. Glad to see they enjoyed safely."
"Life is all about having fun with friends," a third user quipped.
