Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have purchased two luxury villas at Nujuma, part of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Destination, a major tourism project under the Saudi Vision 2030 programme. The couple are among the first buyers of the 19 ultra-private villas at the Ritz-Carlton Reserve property, which offers white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and extensive privacy.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have frequently visited the destination since the resorts opened in 2023. According to Red Sea Global, the developer of the project, the footballer has acquired a two-bedroom villa for intimate retreats and a three-bedroom villa for family use. “They were among the first buyers, drawn by the island’s privacy and breathtaking natural surroundings, and are now exploring further ownership opportunities within the destination,” the company said.
Cristiano Ronaldo commented: “The Red Sea is a truly remarkable place. From the moment we first visited, Georgina and I felt a connection with the island and its natural beauty. It’s a place where we feel at peace. Now we have a home here, we can enjoy quality time with family in complete privacy and serenity any time we like.”
The Red Sea Destination spans over 28,000 square kilometres along the Saudi coast in Tabuk province, between Umluj and Al-Wajh. The project includes over 1,000 luxury properties, 50 hotels with 8,000 rooms across 22 islands and six inland sites, as well as resorts, villas, retail, dining, a golf course, and cultural centres. Nujuma is one of nine Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residences globally and is increasingly popular among celebrities, industrialists, and billionaires.
With the Red Sea International Airport nearby, the destination is accessible to 250 million people within three hours and up to 85% of the global population within eight hours of travel, making it one of the most connected luxury retreats in the world.
