Shruti Haasan opened up on The Ranveer Show podcast about many aspects of her life, including how she maintains her long, luscious hair. It is no secret that the actress has the most gorgeous locks, and she didn’t hesitate to share what helps her take care of them.
When she was asked about her healthy hair, she vouched for oils, and not just any ordinary oil. She said, “I oil my hair, just oil. And I use sesame oil mixed with coconut or almond, depending on my mood. Basically, sesame has worked miracles for my hair.”
The actress revealed that she doesn’t wash her hair every day and oils it before filming days. “If I am shooting, the night before I will put the oil, go to sleep, wake up, wash, and go. In fact, I have lost so much hair because we are tonging it, ironing it, and straightening it, so oil is my rescue,” she added.
For those looking to have healthy, stunning hair, Shruti’s oil mix is an easy DIY option at home. In fact, the actress also shared that she is big into oil pulling, for which she uses clove and coconut oil. She further said, “Castor oil in the belly button and magnesium oil under your feet is amazing.”
Besides oils, she shared that her dermatologist is a big advocate of “ghee and chawal” for healthy skin and hair. She also works out as part of her holistic lifestyle, which further promotes the same.
Shruti has been part of several films in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, including Veera Simha Reddy, Yaara, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, and Krack, among others. She has an interesting lineup of films ahead. The list includes Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Jana Nayagan, and Train by H. Vinoth and Mysskin, respectively.
