The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has officially opened registrations for the PM Internship Scheme 2024. Starting from 5 PM on October 12, 2024, candidates interested in applying for this opportunity can register through the official portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in. The scheme aims to provide one crore internships to youth across the country over the next five years. For the current financial year (2024-25), the government has set a target of offering 1.25 lakh internship positions in leading companies.
How to Apply for PM Internship Scheme 2024
- Visit the official website of the PM Internship Scheme at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
- Click on the registration link, which will open a new page.
- Fill in the necessary registration details and submit them.
- The portal will generate a resume based on the information provided.
- Applicants can then apply for up to five internship opportunities, selecting based on location, sector, functional role, and qualifications.
- After applying, submit your details and download the confirmation page.
It is advisable to keep a hard copy of the confirmation for future reference. Once registered, candidates will be notified about available internship opportunities through their registered email or mobile number.

Eligibility Criteria for the PM Internship Scheme
- Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 24.
- They should not be employed in any full-time role at the time of application.
- A backend system will be used to shortlist candidates. After shortlisting, companies will evaluate applicants and make final selections based on their requirements and the applicant’s profile.
PM Internship Scheme StipendInterns selected under the PM Internship Scheme 2024 will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 4,500, which will be transferred directly to their bank accounts through direct benefit transfer (DBT). Additionally, participating companies will contribute Rs. 500 per intern from their corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds, making the total monthly stipend Rs. 5,000.

Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget, the PM Internship Scheme seeks to provide young people with 12 months of real-world experience in professional environments. In the initial phase, the government has allocated Rs. 800 crore for the scheme. The programme’s expansion will depend on the results from the pilot phase.
