Bihar Police ASI Steno Recruitment 2024 notification released for 305 posts, registration begins on December 17

BPSSC Steno ASI Recruitment 2024

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 305 Stenographer Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) positions. Aspiring candidates can find the official notification and apply online from December 17, 2024 onwards on the commission's website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The application window closes on January 17, 2025.

This recruitment drive offers a chance to join the Bihar police force while honing stenography skills. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 (Level 5).

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• A government-recognized diploma in computer operation is mandatory. Age Criteria

Backward Classes (BC) & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) (Male): 18 to 27 years old

BC & EWS (Female): 18 to 28 years old

Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribe (ST) (Both Male & Female): 18 to 30 years old

Selection Process

The selection process for Bihar ASI Stenographer recruitment 2024 will consist of a written test and a skill test. The written test will comprise two papers:

Paper 1: General Hindi (100 marks)

Paper 2: General Knowledge and Reasoning (200 marks)

The skill test will assess shorthand and typing proficiency:

• Shorthand test: 80 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi
• Typing test: Minimum of 30 WPM in Hindi
