Vidya Balan marked a milestone in her career as she celebrated 20 years of her Bollywood debut, Parineeta. The actress attended the special re-release premiere event of the film, which will return to theatres on August 29.
Draped in a stunning red saree, Vidya embodied timeless elegance as she greeted fans and the media. Adding a traditional touch to the evening, she performed the famous Bengali Dhunuchi Naach, a dance usually performed during Durga Puja, leaving the audience mesmerized by her cultural flair.
Vidya, who played the iconic role of Lalita in Parineeta, shared that the film remains very close to her heart even after two decades.
Taking to Instagram, Vidya also expressed her joy by posting a picture from the event with the caption, “In full Bengali bloom today, considering my very first Hindi film #Parineeta is re-releasing on 29th Aug in theatres and TODAY is the premiere.” The post instantly won love from her fans, who showered her with congratulatory messages and nostalgic memories of her debut performance.
