The Netflix series has earned immense love and adulation from audiences across the globe not just for its interesting storyline but also for its costumes and sets.

Actress Banita Sandhu, celebrated for her portrayal of Shiuli in the film "October", has delighted her followers with her presence in the third season of “Bridgerton".

Banita Sandhu's involvement in the third season of Bridgerton, though anticipated, still delighted many viewers, especially those from India. Since the season's release, she's been captivating audiences by sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos. There are whispers among fans that her character, Miss Sita Malhotra, might have a more significant role in the next season, sparking much speculation.

Despite her character's brief screen time sparking discussions, Banita addressed these concerns in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha.

Banita Sandhu remarked, “Sometimes, you have to put your ego to the side. I was just so grateful to be a part of that show. It was never about, ‘Oh, this character has a limited screen time’. There were so many bonuses that came out of that.” She emphasized the prestige of participating in a globally celebrated series, a milestone few achieve. “It’s the biggest TV show on Netflix. Who would say no to that? If they’re inviting you to come be on set, work with this amazing team, dress up in these beautiful costumes and be a part of a Shondaland production, you would be stupid to say no to that!”

The 27-year-old actress further shared her career philosophy, “I’ve always said since the beginning of my career that I would rather do something that’s great than a large role in something that’s rubbish. Bridgerton is the biggest show on Netflix. It was a no-brainer! It’s Bridgerton! I was such a big fan of the show. As a fan, just to get to the set and meet everyone and read all of the script for the next season was a dream come true, in all honesty.”

Recalling how she joined Bridgerton, Banita said, I was on a holiday with my family and I got a call to audition for the show. I did the audition and two days later, my agent told me that I got the part and that I needed to come back to London. I left my family abroad and came back to the UK. And I was in costume trials before I knew it. The whole process was very, very quick,”

The Netflix hit is adored worldwide, not just for its captivating plot but also for its stunning costumes and elaborate sets. Reflecting on her transformation into a Regency-era character, Banita explained, “Bridgerton is a big hair and make-up show. The whole process would take about probably two hours.”

She elaborated, “Hair and makeup alone took an hour and a half, and then it took another half hour to get into the costumes. The attention to detail was immense. Every accessory, from earrings and bags to headpieces matching the wigs, was meticulously considered.”

The hit series also features key performances from Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, and Adjoa Andoh.
