Ankita Lokhande celebrates Cinestars Ki Khoj's 20th anniv, shares pics with Shraddha Arya and others from their 6-year-old reunion pictures

The acting reality show India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj first premiered on Zee TV in 2004, meaning that 2024 marked its 20-year anniversary. The show aimed to discover aspiring actors, offering the male and female winners a lead role in a film.

It was a talent hunt reality show designed to find fresh acting talent for the Indian entertainment industry. The show had subsequent seasons in 2006 and 2014. The winners, a male and a female, were crowned at the grand finale and awarded a lead role in an upcoming film.

Several participants from the show went on to establish careers in television and film,Ankita Lokhande, Sharad Malhotra, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Sarwar Ahuja, Amruta Khanvilkar, Shraddha Arya and Aditi Sharma, among others.

The show completes 20 years today, and to honour the day, one of the participants of the show, Ankika Lokhande, took to her social media handle to share a special post dedicated to the moment.

In a join post with Nivaan Sen and Anruta Khavilkar, they shared a number of pictures with a caption that read: Almost 20 years ago we all came to this city called Mumbai with dreams and hopes. @zeetv had given us our first big break into this Bollywood film industry with #zeecinestarskikhoj season 1. We all were blessed. Just got these pics of our first reunion before 6 years ago. It seems just yesterday; time is flying, dost know.

For the uninitiated, Ankita Lokhande was a participant of the same show who later gained fame for her lead role in the popular daily show Pavitra Rishta.

Sharad Malhotra became a well-known television actor, as did Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, who participated in the show and later starred in shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Shraddha has also progressed to being an A-lister actress with her most recent project being Kundali Bhagya.

The last season, which aired in 2014, saw winners Syed Mamoon and Oksana Rasulova land a role in a film supervised by director Mahesh Bhatt.
