In exciting news for fans, Trisha Krishnan is set to star alongside South sensation Suriya in his upcoming film Suriya 45. The makers have officially confirmed her casting and also celebrated her remarkable 20 years in the film industry with the cast and crew.
The production house Dream Warrior Pictures shared the addition of Trisha in the film on Instagram on Friday evening and the caption read, "Adding grace, charm, and power to #Suriya45 – welcome aboard, @trishakrishnan ! A cinematic treat awaits."
In a joyous celebration, Trisha Krishnan recently marked 22 years in cinema, commemorating the milestone with the cast and crew of Suriya 45. The actress was seen cutting a cake alongside Kanguva star Suriya. The video shared by the film's makers highlighted this special moment.
After nearly two decades, Suriya and Trisha Krishnan are reuniting for Suriya 45, a film directed by RJ Balaji. The two had previously collaborated in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and were part of the ensemble cast in Mani Ratnam’s Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004). Their last on-screen pairing was in the 2005 film Aaru.

This upcoming project, expected to be a fantasy entertainer, was originally written as a female-centric story. However, after revisions to the script, Suriya was brought on for the lead role, adding new elements to the film’s narrative. The movie will feature music composed by Sai Abhyankkar and cinematography by G.K. Vishnu.
Trisha, who was last seen in the 2023 film Leo in a lead role and made a cameo in the dance number for The Greatest Of All Time, is now gearing up for several significant roles in upcoming projects, including Vidaamuyarchi, Identity, Vishwambhara, and Thug Life. Meanwhile, Suriya’s most recent release was Kanguva, which hit theaters on November 14, 2024.
