On December 10, the Kapoor family convened for an important meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival. The gathering included key family members, such as Raj Kapoor's daughter Rima Jain, his daughter-in-law Neetu Kapoor, and his grandchildren Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

The inaugural night of the festival witnessed a heartfelt gathering of Kapoor family members, including Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor, who all came together to honor the enduring legacy of Raj Kapoor and his profound impact on Indian cinema.
Titled Raj Kapoor 100: Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman, the event is a multi-city celebration that will run through December 15. Organized by R.K. Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and the National Film Archive of India, the festival will showcase ten of Kapoor’s most iconic films across 40 cities and 135 cinemas.
The selected films include classics such as Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985).
