In the fifth episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2, audiences were treated to a special Karwa Chauth-themed episode featuring the stars of the Netflix show Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives.

The star-studded lineup included Bhavana Panday, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, Seema Kiran Sajdeh, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla. Despite the impressive guest list, the episode fell short of expectations. Despite the impressive roster, the episode struggled to maintain the pace, but a few stories provided much-needed humour.

The episode delved into the personal experiences of the stars during the Karwa Chauth festival. However, it felt more like a mundane conversation rather than the lively banter that fans have come to expect from the show. While the stars wives shared anecdotes and traditions related to the festival, the overall energy and laughter were noticeably missing.

Some good laughs came from the act of Krushna Abhishek, who showcased his mimicry skills by impersonating Jackie Shroff. He humorously remarked and called Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives a Chuglio ka show, meaning a show about gossipers.

Maheep Kapoor recounted a hilarious incident involving Ranbir Kapoor's aunt, Reema Jain. Maheep narrated how Reema mistakenly broke her Karwa Chauth fast by looking at a dish antenna, thinking it was the moon. She shared, "Finally, the moon came out. We ran. Reema Jain ran first, and we went upstairs after ten minutes. Reema had already eaten ten malpuas. I wondered why!"

Maheep continued, "She said that the moon had risen. I was looking for it with a strainer in my hand. She told me, 'Idiot, it's right there!' Behind the building, there was a dish antenna." Bhavana Pandey chimed in, adding, "We told her it wasn't the moon. She said, 'It is the moon. You can't see it, but I can.'" Kapil Sharma humorously responded, "The one who is starving can spot the moon anywhere."

The Karwa Chauth celebrations shared by the actresses did offer a glimpse into their camaraderie and bond, but it failed to elevate the overall fun element of the episode. The episode ultimately felt underwhelming compared to previous installments of The Great Indian Kapil Show.
