On June 17, actress Ramya Sri and her brother Prashant were attacked during a land dispute incident in Hyderabad. The incident happened in the FCI Colony layout area, where officials from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) were helping landowners with road marking work.
Trouble started when some people linked to Sridhar Rao, the owner of Sandhya Convention Hall, objected to landowners taking videos of the road marking. According to Telugu Scribe, this argument turned violent when a group of people came armed with a knife and a cricket bat and attacked those present at the spot. Ramya Sri and her brother were reportedly among those attacked. Later, Ramya filed a police complaint at the Gachibowli Police Station.

Ramya Sri is a well-known actress and director who works mainly in Telugu cinema. She has also acted in movies in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Bhojpuri languages. Some of her popular films include Yamagola Malli Modalayindi (2007), Saleem (2009), Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters (2008), and Bhale Mogudu Bhale Pellam (2011).

However, problems arise when she is falsely accused of having an affair.
Ramya Sri is also recognized for her social work. In 2018, she received an honorary doctorate for her contribution to cinema. She also won the Amaravati National Excellency Award for her philanthropic efforts. Through her Hrudayalaya Foundation, she organizes medical camps and helps underprivileged people with healthcare needs.
