The highly awaited Tamil film Kanguva, starring superstar Suriya, is gearing up for a grand release on November 14, 2024. Producer KE Gnanavel Raja recently took part in a discussion on X Spaces, where he revealed exciting insights about the film.
In addition to Tamil, Kanguva will be released globally in several languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, English, French, and Spanish. During the discussion, Gnanavel shared that they won’t be employing dubbing artists for Suriya's character in these languages. However, Suriya will also not be providing his own voice for the dubbed versions.
Eenadu translated his remarks in Tamil in which he said, "Suriya will be dubbing for the Tamil version, but we plan to utilize AI for the other language versions. This approach represents a new frontier for Kollywood. The makers of Vettaiyan recently took a similar route for Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. We are optimistic about this method’s success, as we also aim to release the film in Chinese and Japanese.”
During the same chat, Gnanavel mentioned that Kanguva is set to be released on approximately 3,500 screens worldwide. Although there were initial plans for the film to be available in 3D and IMAX formats, he confirmed that there are currently no plans for an IMAX release. Additionally, the producer noted that the film's team has reached out to Rajinikanth and Prabhas to serve as chief guests at the pre-release event.
Kanguva is a fantasy action film featuring an ensemble cast that includes Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and KS Ravikumar in prominent roles. Suriya will take on dual roles in this highly anticipated project, which is directed by Siva. The film also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, further increasing excitement among fans.
