Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen's ex-wife Charu Asopa joins him for his dad's 80th birthday celebration

Sushmita Sen and Rajeev Sen's father Shubeer Sen turned 80. While the entire family gathered to celebrate the remarkable day, Rajeev's ex wife Charu too joined in for the celebration. Rajeev and Charu divorced in June last year, but they continue to remain friends and co-parent their daughter Ziana.

Taking to his Instagram, Rajeev wrote, "Happy 80th Birthday Baba So blessed to be your son , wishing you good health & happiness always . celebrating baba’s birthday in kolkata Love you"

Earlier, Sushmita Sen took to social media to express her deep affection for her father, Shubeer Sen, on his 80th birthday. Sushmita shared a series of cherished throwback photographs on Instagram with a heartfelt birthday message: "Happpppyyyyy Birthday to the nicest human being, I am blessed to call my Father!!! Happy 80th Baba @sensubir. Here's to a life filled with glorious milestones & divine grace!! To your health & happiness always." Fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section with red heart emojis and warm birthday wishes for her father.

Earlier, Charu Asopa, along with Ziana, embarked on a memorable trip to Dubai. What caught the attention of netizens was the presence of her ex-husband Rajeev Sen and his family during the trip. Reflecting on the experience, Charu shared, "It was very nice. Ziana enjoyed it a lot. Poori family ke saath first trip tha Ziana ka.” She emphasised the importance of maintaining these family connections, stating, "We went together because he is Ziana’s father and they are her family. I also love Rajeev’s mom and Sushmita didi. Rajeev ke saath bhi time spend karke acha laga."

Charu further elaborated on the necessity of preserving family ties despite personal differences with Rajeev. “It’s not like if we got separated then all other relationships have to end. Why would I separate Ziana from her family?” she questioned. She also clarified their current relationship status, adding, “We continue to be friends. Ziana ke aage koi dikhava karne pade, isse acha hum real mein achein friends ban jaaye puraani saari baaton ko bhoolke. Usse acha kya ho sakta hain!”

Shubeer Sen is a former Indian Air Force officer Sushmita has often spoken about her father's unwavering support throughout her life, especially during her historic victory at the Miss Universe pageant in 1994. She has shared numerous stories of how her father stood by her every step of the way during her journey to becoming the first Indian woman to win the prestigious title at the age of 18.
