Former India cricketer Chinna Thala Suresh Raina is all set to make his acting debut. He will be seen in the upcoming Tamil film directed by filmmaker Logan. The film is said to be based on cricket.
However, Raina’s upcoming film will be backed by producer Saravana Kumar, whose production house, called Dream Knight Stories (DKS), was officially launched on Friday evening in Chennai.
Pinch hitter for the Chennai Super Kings cricketer, Shivam Dube, attended the ceremony and unveiled the name of the production house and its logo. Meanwhile, Raina is currently in Amsterdam on a family vacation and failed to physically make it to the ceremony, but he made sure to be a part of the big launch.
Raina joined the event through a video call and admitted that he wanted to be at the event. He further revealed that he could not make it as he had been informed a little late.

During the event, Suresh Raina was asked why he picked DKS for his acting debut. Responding to the question, the cricketer said, “I think DKS has a good director and first of all when the director told me the story, it was very close to us."
He continued, "Then being a cricket movie, it has to start from Tamil Nadu because we have been playing a lot of matches for CSK over the years and they have a lot of love, liking and a lot of affection.”
However, he also reflected on what kind of actor he would be and said, “I think I will be a very good singer. Having a guitar in my hand. Making a nice dosa for my teammates. Enjoy having rasam rice. I will be chilled out. No stress."
Further details of Suresh Raina’s upcoming film are currently kept under wraps.
