Samay Raina, a popular comedian and YouTuber, recently appeared on the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) alongside fellow comedians Tanmay Bhat and Bhuvan Bam. During the show, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Samay humorously shared his experiences of watching Sooryavansham. The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role, has become famous for its frequent re-runs on television, particularly on Sony Max.

Samay joked, “Maine wahi film dekhi hai kyunki TV par wahi aati thi” (I have only watched that film because it kept airing on TV). This lighthearted remark resonated with the audience, as many viewers share the same sentiment about the film’s repeated broadcasts over the years. Amitabh Bachchan, known for his witty responses, enjoyed the humor and played along with Samay’s banter.

The comedic exchange didn’t stop there. Samay also poked fun at a specific scene from Sooryavansham, asking Mr. Bachchan why his character tested poisoned kheer (a traditional Indian dessert) twice, despite knowing it was poisoned. This question left both the host and the audience laughing.

Adding to the humor, Amitabh Bachchan quoted his famous dialogue from the movie Shahenshah: “Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah” (In the relationship, I am like your father, my name is Shahenshah). Samay quickly replied with a witty retort, “Aapne beta bana hi dia hai toh property mein thoda hissa?” (If you’ve made me your son, can I get a share in your property?). This playful interaction highlighted Samay’s quick wit and ability to entertain.

Samay further added a personal anecdote about trying to enter Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Juhu bungalow, Jalsa, only to be turned away by the guards. He joked about the incident, lightening the mood and adding more charm to his appearance on the show.

The viral clip of this segment has garnered significant attention online, with fans appreciating the light-hearted camaraderie between the comedians and Mr. Bachchan. Samay wrapped up the segment by humorously saying, “Mujhe believe nahi ho raha, sir, aapko humare saath baithna pad raha hai” (I can’t believe, sir, that you are being made to sit with us), showcasing his humility and humor.

Samay Raina, who rose to fame as the joint winner of Comicstaan Season 2, has built a strong fan base with his stand-up comedy, chess streams, and YouTube content. His appearance on KBC alongside Tanmay Bhat, a comedian and former AIB member, and Bhuvan Bam, the creator of BB Ki Vines, brought a refreshing and entertaining twist to the iconic quiz show.
