On August 28, Salman Khan attended a special event in Mumbai, where he made a young fan’s day with a touching display of warmth and kindness. As the actor stood on stage, a young boy approached him, presenting a sketch he had made.
Salman, known for his connection with fans, took his time to admire the drawing, engage in a brief conversation with the boy, and even signed an autograph.
The heartfelt moment didn't end there. As a gesture of respect, the young boy bent down to touch Salman’s feet. Moved by this act, Salman immediately lifted the boy and embraced him in a warm hug. The video of this sweet exchange has since gone viral, showcasing Salman’s genuine affection for his fans.
The event, organized to promote an eco-friendly Ganesha festival in Mumbai, was a lively affair, with Salman not only meeting fans but also entertaining the audience. The actor performed the song "Aate Jaate Jo Milta Hai" from his film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and danced to the popular track "Jalwa" from Wanted, much to the delight of those present.
Salman Khan’s participation was part of the ‘Bacche Bole Morya’ initiative, which aims to encourage cleanliness and promote an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi. The initiative was organized in collaboration with the Divjay Foundation, the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, Mumbai Police, and Chattra Sansad.
On the red carpet, Salman spoke passionately about the importance of using eco-friendly Ganesha idols, emphasizing the need to maintain the purity of the festival. He expressed concern over the aftermath of traditional visarjan (immersion) ceremonies, where parts of the idols are often found scattered, leading to disrespectful treatment of the deities. He urged people to opt for eco-friendly idols to preserve the sanctity of the festival.
The event also saw the presence of several prominent figures, including Salman’s sister Alvira Agnihotri, actress Sonali Bendre, singers Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher, Police Commissioner Vivek Phalsankar, and BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, all coming together to support the cause.
