The two accused arrested in the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan house have been sent to custody till April 25. The Mumbai police told the court that the accused, who were arrested from Bhuj on Monday night, had opened the firing at Salman’s home in Mumbai 'in an attempt to kill him'.
The two accused, Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), are both residents of Bihar and they were on the run after the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house at the Galaxy Apartment, Bandra.
The duo was held from Bhuj and brought to Mumbai today morning. According to a report in PTI, police said that Vicky Gupta was riding the motorcycle at the time of the incident and Sagar Pal was pillion and he had fired shots.
They were produced before the court in the morning and sent to custody until April 25.
The crime branch in its remand note submitted to the court said the duo had opened fire outside Salman Khan's residence with an intention to kill him.
"The two accused opened fire outside Salman Khan's house in an attempt to kill the actor. Custodial interrogation is required to identify the mastermind and to also ascertain the motive," the note said.
During preliminary interrogation the accused have admitted that they had carried out the firing, the police said.
At around 4.50 am on Sunday, two motorcycle-borne men had opened fire outside Salman Khan’s home in Bandra and fled the spot.
They had abandoned their motorcycle near Mount Mary Church, the police said.
