Sachein Re-Release Advance Booking: Thalapathy Vijay starrer sees a descent start with Rs 12 Lakh

Thalapathy Vijay and Genelia Dsouza starrer film will re release in the theatres

Tollywood superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s Sachein is all set to return to the theatres. The film was originally released on April 14, 2005, and the makers have announced its re-release in the theatres to mark its 20th anniversary.

However, the film has already generated buzz among the audience with the fans' advance booking the tickets.

According to Pinkvilla, the film has done well in advance bookings at the Tamil box office, selling over 9,000 tickets in 75 shows across Tamil Nadu with 40% occupancy, earning around Rs 12 lakh so far.

Sachein re-release is witnessing a good start and still has two days to register more advance bookings. It'll be interesting to see if the movie's advance bookings cross the Rs 50 lakh mark before the first show starts.

The 2005 rom-com also stars Genelia Dsouza and Bipasha Basu in the pivotal roles. However, Genelia has expressed her excitement about the re-release on X and wrote, “Sachein - Has my heart always,” by adding a green heart emoji.

The film features a love triangle between two young college students who try to deny their feelings for each other. However, the entry of a lecturer who has a soft corner for the boy changes things around.
