Actor Vijay Devarakonda had a scare on Monday night after being involved in a road accident near Undavalli in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district.

The actor, who was returning to Hyderabad from a trip to Puttaparthi with close friends, fortunately walked away from the incident without any injuries.

According to Telangana Today, the accident occurred when Vijay’s car reportedly collided with a Bolero. While the impact caused visible damage to his vehicle, it wasn’t a serious crash — more of a jolt than a tragedy — and Vijay was completely unharmed.

Nevertheless, the information spread swiftly online, and when it was confirmed that he was safe, fans yeaved a sigh of relief.

After the collision, Vijay had to switch cars and continue the journey to Hyderabad in a friend’s vehicle.

The incident occurred a few days after Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna made headlines when rumours of their engagement began, a long-awaited moment for fans. Concern was naturally raised by the accident, particularly since the couple is now more well-known than ever.

While there was some initial confusion about the severity of the crash, eyewitnesses shared that it was more shocking than dangerous. “The damage was mostly to the car. Vijay looked okay,” one source was quoted as saying.

The Hindustan Times recently reported that Vijay’s team has officially confirmed his engagement to Rashmika. The wedding is scheduled for February 2026, although the couple has not yet disclosed any personal information. This is already making it one of the most anticipated events in South Indian cinema.

Fans were enamoured by their effortless on-screen chemistry when they first met on the set of Geetha Govindam in 2018. That connection only deepened during Dear Comrade, fueling real-life romance rumours. The two will next reunite in VD14, a historical drama by Rahul Sankrityan set in Rayalaseema.
