Actress Madhuri Dixit is facing significant backlash following her recent event Dil Se… Madhuri in Toronto.

The actress arrived almost three hours late, leaving many attendees frustrated. Fans expressed disappointment, noting that the event was promoted as a full-fledged musical concert but instead felt more like a talk session.

After the Toronto event, Madhuri shared her upcoming meet-and-greet schedule in the US, writing, “Thank you Toronto for a lovely Meet and Greet and now looking forward to meeting my fans in New Jersey on 6th November, Boston on 7th November, Chicago on 8th November, Houston on 9th November and New York on 15th November."

However, the comment section quickly turned into a space for grievances and anger, as fans who attended the Toronto event expressed frustration and disappointment.

A user commented, "But you owe Toronto an apology for fake advertising…your own post on your profile doesn’t call it a Meet and Greet. You say an evening of dance , music and celebrations." Another netizen wrote, "@madhuridixitnene It’s unfortunate that you’re now stating it’s a meet and greet after your Toronto audience including myself spent our money without having the proper information. Ever since I was a kid I have been a fan and sadly I’ve been left completely disappointed. Transparency is an important thing. Hope you and your team are more straightforward with your other shows."

Another user mentioned, "Toronto show was horrible. I see they now added 'meet and greet'." A fan who attended the show shared their disappointment and said, "What a true disappointment this was! As a celebrity of your reputation, it's sad to see how you are either unaware or have decided to turn away from what has happened at your Toronto show. Not only were fans who attended so dissatisfied and feel cheated but even the local artists who were asked to perform one night before and promised a photo at the least with you were treated so badly. You've earned too much in your career ma'am to be associating yourself with such terrible people in the name of production or events. Your fans deserve better."

Following widespread criticism online, True Sound Live Ltd., the event organisers, released a formal statement addressing the controversy. The group denied allegations that the event was mismanaged or delayed on their part. They stated that the event began on time as scheduled, featuring “a high-energy opening act featuring exceptional singers from Indian Idol."

The organisers went on to say that misunderstandings within Madhuri's own management team were the cause of the delay.

Online, the incident generated a lot of conversation, with fans wishing for greater openness and better planning for her next performances.
