Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 released worldwide in theatres last week on October 2, and the movie has already created a storm.
Songs and trailer of the prequel to Kantara: A Legend had already gone viral online, and the film broke box office records and became a worldwide sensation soon after its release.
Kantara: Chapter 1 has captivated audiences worldwide for its compelling narrative, outstanding performances, and arresting visuals. However, several celebrities and acclaimed filmmakers have also appreciated the film.
Indian cricketer KL Rahul, who hails from Mangalore, Karnataka, has also joined the celebrities praising the film. He also watched the film recently and expressed his admiration, calling himself a big fan of the film.
KL Rahul took to his Instagram Story and shared a video of the film’s motion title. Alongside the video, he penned, “Just watched Kantara. Blown away by the magic @rishabshettyofficial has created yet again. All heart and beautifully represents the people and the belief of mangaluru.”
KL Rahul has previously declared his love for Kantara. The cricketer celebrated his team's victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Kantara fashion during one of this year's IPL games at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
He drew a circle on the field and slammed his bat firmly in the middle of it after securing the victory with a winning six, just like Rishab Shetty does in the movie with a sword.
Following the match, Rahul disclosed that one of his favourite movies, Kantara, served as the inspiration for his celebration. He explained that the gesture represented his strong bond with his home field, Chinnaswamy Stadium, and that no one knows or controls the field there more than he does.
He said, "This is a special place for me. That celebration was from one of my favourite movies, Kantara. So, ya, just a tiny reminder that this ground, this turf, this home is where I have grown up and that this is mine.”
